This killer vintage 1966 Fender Jaguar in original custom color Black finish came through the shop a few years ago. It was a fantastic sounding guitar that looked like a million bucks with that Black finish on white pickguard. I'm always a vintage Fender guitar buyer but I especially love the Jaguar model in custom color finishes. Please contact me to sell a Fender guitar.

Fender debuted the Jaguar model in 1962 as the next jewel in the offset line. The Jaguar featured a slightly modified version of the Jazzmaster’s offset body, proprietary shielded single coil pickups, a rhythm/lead circuit with bass cut switch, a new “Fender Mute” bridge mute and the Jazzmaster’s tremolo and bridge system. Fender placed the Jazzmaster and Jaguar guitars at the top of the line in the early 1960s. Custom colors were offered for offset guitars with common colors including Olympic White, Candy Apple Red, and Lake Placid Blue. More rare colors include Fiesta Red, Sonic Blue and even more rare – Black.
This 1966 Fender Jaguar in rare factory custom color Black with matching headstock has been played but comes to you in very nice collectible and playable condition. All parts appear to be original to the guitar except the strings and possibly the rhythm circuit selector switch. The neck is straight and the frets are in good playable condition but it does show wear in the second and third frets area. The white pickguard is in good shape but does have a crack near the pickup selector plate. The original Black finish is free of overspray/touch up but does have an area of forearm wear on the bass side of the body near the tailpiece. This guitar is ready for the studio, collection or stage.
