1965 Fender Jazzmaster Blue Ice Metallic
I purchased this super clean 1965 Fender Jazzmaster in original custom color finish Blue Ice Metallic from its original owner; Fred. Fred played it with his band in the late 1960s and early 1970s until moving on from his career in music. He's held onto it all this time until now.
Make and Model: Fender Jazzmaster
Year: 1965. Serial number "L94341", volume potentiometer code "137 6451" (137 = CTS, 64 = 1964, 51 = 51st week).
Measurements: 8.6 lbs / 3.9 kg overall weight. The neck pickup reads 7.12k ohms and the bridge pickup reads 7.39k ohms. The neck profile measures 0.80" at the first fret and 0.98" at the 12th. The nut measures 1.66" wide.
Originality: All parts and finish appear to be original to this guitar except for a replaced Switchcraft output jack. I believe that the bridge pickup has a typo on the date signature since it reads "9-25-68" while the neck pickup reads "9-22-65". The bridge pickup matches the other pickup exactly and doesn't show any '68 features.
Playability: Excellent! It's a spectacular playing example with original wide frets with little wear, straight neck, and perfect working electronics.
Condition: Excellent! This is a very well preserved example of the Blue Ice Metallic color with typical ambering of the clear coat, light checking, and various nicks and dings.
