This vintage Gibson ES-150DC is more likely from 1972 than from 1969. It's a very clean example of a vintage Gibson electric guitar. I'm always a vintage Gibson guitar buyer but I'm especially looking for late 1960s and early 1970s Gibson guitars. Please contact me here to sell a vintage Gibson electric guitar.
"Gibson: new, ES-150DC. A showstopper from Gibson featuring exclusive Double Venetian Cutaway in a full, hollow bodied archtop guitar." The Gibson Electric Guitar Book (Walter Carter) estimates about 2,801 ES-150 guitars were produced by Gibson in Kalamazoo, MI from 1969 until 1974. This example from the first year of production is in remarkably clean, nearly unplayed condition. All parts appear to be original except for the strings. We've installed a new truss rod nut since the original was finished over at the factory and wouldn't fit the wrench properly. Other than that, we've only lightly cleaned and set it up. It's in wonderful playing condition and sounds excellent. We were thrilled to find the original hang tag with warranty card, case key with manila packet, strap, and coily 1/4" cable. We're confident you will love this clean 1969 Gibson ES-150D!
