Vintage 1969 Fender Princeton Reverb-Amp Drip Edge guitar amp

This vintage 1969 Fender Princeton Reverb guitar amplifier came through the shop a few years ago. It is a great example of a late drip edge style Fender amp. I'm always a vintage Fender amp buyer but I especially vintage Princeton Reverbs. Please contact me to sell a vintage Fender guitar amp. 

The blackface and early silverface era Fender Princeton Reverb-Amp is an iconic amplifier that has become one of the most desirable recording amps today. Its versatile platform is just as comfortable at home, in the studio or at a gig. This amp is powered by a pair of 12ax7 preamp tubes driving two 6v6 power tubes making about 12 watts of power. It’s tube rectified and uses a 12at7 and 7025 to drive the spring reverb and tremolo section. The 10″ speaker is housed in a fingerjointed solid Pine cabinet for tone and ease of portability. Unlike the reissue, the original Princeton Reverb is all hand wired using an eyelet board to keep everything clean. The resulting amplifier boasts big cleans, smooth overdriven tones, classic Fender reverb and some of the finest tremolo around.

This particular Princeton Reverb was completed in 1969 during the short lived drip edge/black line time period. This amp shows wear from storage but appears to have been played very little and hasn't been improperly repaired or modified. All parts are original to the amp except for one black numbered knob, one 6v6 power tube (period correct RCA) and replaced reverb tank. The speaker is a CTS 10" with a 49th week of 1969 date code. I like this speaker better than the more common Oxford. The amp is in good working condition but still uses the two prong power cord. Buyers may want to consider a three prong power supply installation. Comes with the original foot switch. This drip edge Princeton Reverb-Amp is a good example of an original vintage amp that is ready to played. You won’t be disappointed with the way this one sounds.
