The Fender Mustang debuted in 1964 as a quality electric guitar at an affordable price. Leo’s team packed it with cool features like the offset body design, tremolo tailpiece and two pickups with phase switchable wiring. The Mustang went through a few different color variations throughout the years and by the late 1970s they decided to make a few in the Antigua color. It seems to be the only color combination that included the pickguard.
This 1978 Fender Mustang in rare Antigua color has just come from the family of the original owner. It’s in spectacular condition and appears to have almost no evidence of heavy playing time. All parts are original to the guitar except the strings and the tremolo arm. It comes with the original case, Fender brand strap, bridge cover, 1/4″ cable, allen wrenches, and case keys. We’ve carefully set up this Mustang and it plays like a brand new guitar. It’s ready for the stage, studio, or collection.
