Gibson's Les Paul TV Model debuted in 1955 as essentially a Les Paul Junior with the Limed Mahogany finish, often called TV Yellow by collectors today. In fact, many players prefer to call these guitars "TV Juniors", although Gibson's catalog and literature in the 1950s clearly separates the two guitars into different models. Either way, There are nearly triple or quadruple the amount of Les Paul Juniors made every year in the 1950s compared to the TV Models.

This 1958 Gibson Les Paul TV Model came in a few months ago from the family of its original owner. It shipped from Gibson in Kalamazoo, Michigan on January 29, 1958 according to Gibson's own shipment ledger. It's a fantastic all original example except for a replaced nut and output jack plate. The output jack plates often crack on Les Paul guitars because there's a lot of leverage on the thin plastic plates.

I'm always a buyer for Gibson Les Paul guitars but I'm especially looking for Gibson Les Pauls from 1958. You can get help dating a Gibson Les Paul guitar here: How to date Gibson Les Paul guitars or you can inquire about value here: sell a Gibson guitar
