Vintage 1964 Fender Reverb unit head black

This vintage 1964 Fender Reverb with black Tolex and white knobs came through the shop a few years ago. It's an excellent example of the external Reverb units Fender was making prior to making amplifiers with reverb built in like the Princeton Reverb and Deluxe Reverb. I'm always a vintage Fender amplifier buyer but I especially love the early brown, white, and black Reverb units. Please contact me here to sell a vintage Fender guitar amp

Prior to Fender releasing the Reverb-Amp line in 1964, guitar players utilized an external Reverb Unit in the signal chain to get that thick swampy reverb tone out of their Fender amp. The (internal) Reverb-Amps are convenient and sound wonderful but it's hard to beat the wide range of Reverb tone from dry to total reverb monsoon.

This early 1964 Fender Reverb Unit with cover has just come out of the collection of the original owner along with a 1964 Fender Jaguar in Black. Ron kept both in very nice condition and never modified or repaired them. We've left this one in as-found condition since it operated properly for the short time we played it. It will likely need a three prong power cord to play in the studio or on stage. We're confident you'll love the tone and aesthetic from this clean 1964 Fender Reverb with cover and foot switch.
