$2,995.00

“SG Junior: A best seller that’s even better – with its handsome new Cherry Red finish, its highly desirable new double cutaway sculptured design, very low popular price and Gibson Vibrola. You get Gibson quality and top performance.”

Make and Model: Gibson SG Junior White

Year: 1967. “00xxxx” serial, reflector knobs, potentiometer code “1376631” (31st week of 1966)

Specifications: 24 3/4″ scale length, 7lbs 8oz, 1 9/16″ nut width, .85″ neck depth at the first fret, 1″ depth at the 12th fret.

Originality: All parts appear to be original except for the tuner bushings and two screws on the back plate. It previously had Grover Imperial tuners installed but the originals were in the Grover box. I reinstalled the original rare open back Japan tuners (common with color option Gibson Firebird 1s and Juniors in the late 1960s) with conversion bushings.

Condition: Good. No breaks or repairs. The original Polaris White finish is discolored, worn through layers, and exhibits heavy finish checking. It looks really cool and vintage in person.

Playability: Good. The only thing keeping this playability from being excellent is the fret wear. There is significant fret wear throughout. The truss rod adjusts nicely.

Notes: This killer ’67 Gibson SG Jr in original rare Polaris White finish is now available! It comes with its original chipboard case with some duct tape on the back. The guitar is in great shape and plays great but has plenty of fret wear. The original White finish is worn, checked, and discolored a bit with that unmistakable original vintage look. I’m confident you’ll love this 1967 Gibson SG Junior!
