Fender Broadcaster 1950

Fender Broadcaster 1950

$209,995.00

I'm thrilled to offer this 100% original and 7.2 lb 1950 Fender Broadcaster for its first time ever to come to market. The Broadcaster was in production from October of 1950 until February of 1951 and exact production figures are unknown. Our best estimate is that about 250 Broadcasters were made before the letter from Fred Gretsch citing copyright infringement.

Identification: Serial number 0646. The neck pocket signature reads "Thadio" (a common spelling of the name on Broadcasters) and "11 - 13 - 50".

Originality: 100% with no excuses. No disturbed solder, no overspray, no refinish, and no replaced parts except the strings.

Playability: Excellent! The small amount of fret wear it has on its original frets was not noticeable to me as I played it. The neck is straight, the truss rod functions smoothly, and the electronics have been cleaned. It needs nothing.

Measurements: 7.2 lbs / 3.25 kg total weight. The neck measures 1.65" wide at the nut, 0.85" deep at the first fret, and 1.00" deep at the 12th fret. The neck pickup measures 5.16k ohms and the bridge pickup reads 7.92k ohms.

Included: The original Bullwin thermometer case and bridge cover are included.

Fine Print: All guitars ship via FedEx Priority Overnight for domestic sales or FedEx Priority International. I offer a 48 hour approval period beginning on delivery for all sales during which you are welcome to opt for a return. I do not charge a restocking fee, but any non-refunded payment processing fees, outbound shipping, and return shipping costs are subtracted from the refund in the case of a return.
