1965 Silvertone 1457 Amp In Case

The Silvertone 1457 was the top of the line amp-in-case guitar offered from Silvertone in the 1960s. The Danelectro manufactured 1457 offered two lip stick pickups, cool red sparkle burst paint and the solid adjustable bridge. The guitar itself is a killer player but the low wattage tube amp built in the case is crunchy and just loud enough to have some fun in an apartment.

This 1965 Silvertone 1457 guitar and amp are in excellent, all original condition and still include the original door stop tremolo foot switch. The guitar's neck is straight and has almost no fret wear. The finish is still smooth and sparkly but does have two bumps on the back of the guitar. I've set up the guitar for optimum playability with medium to low action and great intonation. The amp too is in great original condition and operates just as it should. It's got nice early breakup and vintage style tremolo. The Jensen speaker seems strong and in good condition. The case covering has two small tears in it but is in overall great condition. This Silvertone 1457 is in near time capsule condition and ready to go right out of the box. The guitar is surprisingly comfortable and easy playing. The Danelectro lip stick pickups have strong output and unique tone. The amp is crunchy, just like a 60s tube amp should be. (edit: sold!)
