This nice 1964 Gretsch 6186 “Clipper” has just come from the family of the original owner after being in storage from decades. We’re not used to seeing the roller style bridge on this model but it was on the guitar when we acquired it from the family. We repaired a small crack in the pickguard near the screw. The binding shows the typical signs of deterioration with the most significant area on the heel cap. The guitar is currently set up with .012 gauge flat wound strings from Pyramid and sounds excellent with the original HiLo Tron pickup! Our set up include neck and fretboard adjustment and cleaning, full potentiometer clean and lubrication, and a gentle wipe down of the finish with a dry cloth. We’re confident you’ll love this clean 1964 Gretsch Clipper!
