Gibson ES-335 1960 Sunburst

$1.00

I purchased this killer 1960 Gibson ES-335 TD from the friend and widow of its owner for the past few decades. He recently passed away and they were selling his prized guitar. While it has some benign changed parts and refret, the all important PAF pickups are original and the neck has never broken or been repaired. It's a spectacular playing example that you won't be afraid to play.

Make and Model: ES-335 TD

Year: 1960. Serial number A341XX, R prefix FON, long pickguard. Check out How to date an ES-335.

Measurements: The neck profile measures 0.80" deep at the first fret and 0.89" at the 12th fret. The overall weight is 8 lbs / 3.6 kg. The neck pickup reads 8.35k ohms and the bridge pickup read 7.57k ohms.

Originality: All parts appear to be original to the guitar except refret, replaced nut, reproduction tuners, Gotoh bridge and stop bar tailpiece. Both PAF pickups appear to be original. The original bridge pickup cover was previously removed and now reinstalled.

Condition: Nicely worn and loved throughout its lifetime, but no breaks or repairs. The Nickel covers and parts have a nice oxidized matching patina. The original case is in very good case because it was stored in a newer and better fitting case for the past few decades.

Playability: Excellent! This is a spectacular playing example with nice sounding PAF pickups. The neck is straight, truss rod functions as intended, and electronics have been cleaned. It's ready for the stage, studio, or collection. While I typically prefer refrets inside the binding, this work was done long ago.
