1961 Gibson Les Paul Standard

$1.00

I'm thrilled to offer this repair-free 1961 Gibson Les Paul Standard to the market for its first time since it was sold new! I purchased it from the son of its original owner. It's in spectacular condition with very little evidence of wear or heavy playing time. It has its original fret crowns with no wear in any position. Every part, all solder joints, and all finish on this instrument remains true to its original form.

Gibson's shipment ledger indicates that a Les Paul with serial number 15017 shipped from on April 28, 1961.

Make and Model: Gibson Les Paul Standard

Year: 1961. Serial number 15017.

Measurements: 7.1 lbs / 3.2 kg overall weight. The neck profile measures 0.81" deep at the first fret and 0.89" deep at the 12th fret. The neck width measures 0.71" / 43.2mm wide at the nut (typical 1 11/16" nut width). The neck and bridge pickups measure 7.14k ohms 7.76k ohms respectively.

Originality: 100% of all parts of the guitar are the originals that it came with except for the strings.

Condition: Excellent. The Cherry Red finish is unfaded shows little wear. There is an amount of surface buckle rash on the back of the body. The neck joint has a tiny finish check but I've verified that the joint is 100% solid with no movement. It's just a result of the expansion and contraction of two pieces of wood joined together. The nickel hardware shows attractive tarnish but is overall very clean.

Playability: Perfect! The neck is straight, the truss rod operates as intended, and all electronics operate as intended. The original PAF pickups are divine.

Included: The original hardshell case and brown leather strap are included.
